This page will house old rss feed entries. As the number grows, I'll add organizing links.

Blog Entries
Posted: 7 May 2009
I recently posted two new entries to my blog at Bergspace.net. The first is a rant about Big Content (TM), still trusting lawyers for technological advice (DRM). Now, the movie industry thinks it can stop people from making copies of their digital content, when really, given the cheap and plentiful hard drive space of today, it was only a matter of time before people started copying films. The second post is a review of Pearl Jam's recently reissued Ten and the remixed version, Ten Redux.
Digital Art Added
Posted: 4 May 2009
I've posted high resolution photos to the Photo page: digitally generated and mountain landscapes. I created the digital backgrounds on my own, and I took the shots of the mountains as well. They're protected by a Creative Commons 3.0 license. Feel free to save them and use them on your own machines - I wanted to upload them earlier, but I had yet to test the photo gallery stylesheets.

Sample Courses Posted
Posted: 28 Apr. 2009
I've posted two sample course homepages to the "Teaching" section, with a directory page linking from the main site to the subsites. To return to this page from either site, go to the "Home" menu of any page and choose "Return to CB.Net." Someone wanted these posted -- AW stats tells me that the top six searches for this site were seeking my syllabi.
New Blog, Links
Posted: 27 Apr. 2009
Finally posted my new blog at a unique URL, http://www.bergspace.net. I'm sick of dealing with trying to get any hits via subdomain posts, and this one finally covers a scope of topics I think I can stick with. Take a peek if you're interested. ALSO: added more links to my "Links" page. This one will update as I think of more to add.
Site Map Active
Posted: 22 Apr. 2009
For the first time when posting a new design, the site map has been tested, is posted, and active. It should be updated as needed, with each menu updated as I update the site - for now, at least, several pages are listed as inactive or not ready. The map should greatly enhance the accessibility and usability of the site. I'm also considering adding a blog to this site - nothing big, just musings on the job search for a doctoral candidate in the Humanities/Social Sciences in this economy... then again, with the number of people currently on antidepressants, perhaps not.
New Design
Posted: 17 Apr. 2009
Thought I'd give a new design a try. I was thinking "What if someone really did plan "outside the box" for a design? If it looks as good as I hope it does, I'll likely keep it for the time being. Of course, most of the pages will be down/upgrading/lost for a bit of time, but still, onward! Let me know what you think.

Publication
Posted: 26 Jan. 2009
After two years, six full revisions, a conference presentation, and a few gray hairs, my manuscript for "Writing Degree Binary" was accepted for publication in the Journal of Technical Writing and Communication. The abstract for the article will be posted soon on a new "Publications" page. More information about the specific issue once I receive further word.
